Welcome to The K-Edit — I’m Helen.

After a decade working at global beauty brands in New York, it has been amazing to witness the rise of K-beauty. When I first started my career in 2014, K-beauty was barely on the global radar, and Korea had not yet become the beauty powerhouse it is today.

Now, K-beauty is one of the most influential forces in the global beauty market, and it continues to grow at an incredible pace. But as exciting as that is, it is not always explained with the cultural and market context people need. That’s why I created The K-Edit — to help bridge that gap.

Now living in Seoul with a background in global beauty, I wanted to create a space that feels more thoughtful, independent, & reader-first. In a market where people are constantly being told what to buy, my goal is to offer clear, credible analysis that helps you better understand K-beauty and make more informed decisions.

Welcome — I’m Sarah.

With three decades of experience at the heart of global brand building, I’ve had the privilege of working across some of the most influential names in beauty and consumer goods, including Estée Lauder, British American Tobacco, and Cheil Worldwide. Working between Korea & the U.S., I’ve spent my career helping brands evolve — from revitalizing established names to shaping digital strategies and building narratives that resonate across markets.

Beyond corporate leadership,, I’ve also helped bring many K-beauty brands to life from the ground up, guiding them from initial concept and product planning to brand identity, marketing strategy, and global distribution. I’ve always believed that lasting brands are built through clarity, consistency, and a deep understanding of the consumer at every touchpoint.
